Registration Fee Waivers and Travel Grants are available for young researchers for the EMBO I EMBO Symposia Series. Please see below for more information. Please indicate your interest for a Registration Fee Waiver or Travel Grant or both when submitting your abstract.

Registration Fee Waivers

Registration Fee Waivers for young researchers are available. Please indicate your interest for a registration fee waiver when submitting your abstract. During the abstract submission phase (step 2 after you have registered for the conference) there will be a small field to complete your reasons for requesting this registration fee waiver.

The registration fee waivers will be distributed at the discretion of the scientific organisers during the abstract review. If you are awarded a registration fee waiver you will be notified after the abstract review has been completed and asked to confirm your acceptance and submit a form for the reimbursement of your registration fee. This is usually two months before the conference start date. The reimbursement of the registration fee will take place only after  the meeting.

Travel Grants

Travel grants for young researchers residing in eligible countries (See list below) are available. Please indicate your interest for a travel grant when submitting your abstract. During the abstract submission phase (Step 2 after you have registered for the conference) there will be a small field to complete your reasons for requesting this travel grant.

These travel grants will be distributed at the discretion of the scientific organisers during the abstract review. If you are awarded a travel grant you will be notified after the abstract review has been completed. You will be asked to confirm your acceptance and submit a form for the travel grant payment. You need to attach to this form receipts/invoices/tickets of your travel.  You have up to 2 weeks after the meeting has taken place to submit these documents. The travel grant payment will take place only after the meeting.

EMBC Member States

Special Agreement with EMBC Non-Member States from Geographical Europe

Non-European Regions

• Africa
• Central and South America
• Asia except Japan, Singapore, South Korea

70% will be given to participants from a defined set of EMBC Members States and the remaining 30% will be for eligible non-member countries.
